So it looks like if one opts for the M sport package, you can either either satin chrome window trim/roof rails or gloss black.

Has anyone ordered M sport package, specified one trim but got another? Ie the build tracking website is showing the incorrect trim from the one I specified, why could that be? Did the dealer not order it properly or is there issue w BMW tracking?

What does one do if the delivered vehicle doesn’t match what you ordered.

It’s probably not advisable to change the trim like the roof rails right? Because it’s a structural part, may lead to leaks, improper seals of not done correctly. I would hate to have body work done on a brand new car because it was ordered or assembled incorrectly. I’d rather opt for another new build.

You can also contact your dealer directly and go over the build together to make sure you have what you want, and for your peace of mind. As long as it hasn't entered into production, you should be good to go. Call them first thing Monday.

mistakes happen, whether you forgot to order the shadowline package or the dealer forgot or the factory messed up. either way, you don’t have to take delivery of the vehicle if it’s not the one you want.

I don’t think anyone’s physically replaced the chrome to black, but a few have either had it wrapped in black vinyl or painted in OEM gloss black

This is pretty simple, if your car is being built right now and you noticed some part of it is not to the spec you gave your dealer, then your issue is with the dealer, contact them today to alert them and tell them what you want done. You either accept it the way its being built or you reject it and have them reorder or possibly you might accept it with a discount but either way, you need to alert them now.

I got the M-sport package on my 23' 45e and chose the black grill/front, and black accents all over. When I got it, it just didn't look right, and BMW did not offer any wheel packages with blacked out wheels/rims. So, I had a local shop coat them for me.... the car looks great with the black wheels blue M-sport calipers and all black trim in the Mineral White paint color scheme.

For pre LCI, m sport automatic get gross black window trim and roof rail. Extended shadow option further get black gross grill and exhaust trim. Not sure how LCI works
