Exclamation BMW E90 2006 Climete control Fan not working

I have a 2006 E90 and the other day the climate contorl fan just stoped working. The main display works and i can select temp and air flow in the normal manner. But this makes no differance. This is a slight amount of air movemnt when driving but very very little.

I have seen posts about E46's and E39's haveing problems like this. replacing the final stage unit/blower motor resister sloved the problem.
Has anyone had this problem on an E9X car or know what the problem might be?

Thanks

I have the same problem now with my 2006 E90, fan doesnt turn on no matter what setting I use on the climate control, whether it's on auto or manual, AC or no AC, no air comes out of the vents but the dash indicator shows fan speed as I adjust it. Anyone know how much it costs to repair/replace the fan motor outside of warranty?

Got it fixed, blower motor and resistor had to be replaced, old blower was corroded so stopped spinning. 2 years ago I had my windshield replaced, recently noticed the weatherstripping along the bottom of the windshield was peeling off, I bet water seeped in and got to the blower motor. Got the weatherstripping resealed at the window repair place that replaced the windshield for free (lifetime warranty). Anyways it cost me $335 total at a repair shop to replace the blower motor and resistor, much cheaper than the dealer. Climate control and AC runs normal again.

I had exactly the same problem. Fan motor went out. The windshield was replaced and the weather stripping wasn't fully sealed so it was leaking when it rained and rusted out the motor.

E90 Blower Fuse

Hi, can anyone help. Can you please tell me what fuses i should look at replacing to try and get my blower working again. I know this could be the resister or blower motor itself, but want to try the fuse first and not sure which one it is

Not sure of the fuse but it's most likely your blower motor. There is a service bulletin out for the windshield cowl cover lifting and allowing water to drip onto the blower motor. The water will cause the metal components to rust and the unit to fail.

I would check your cowl cover and replace it at the same time as your blower motor.

Unfortunately, the service bulletin only covers the cowl cover and not the blower motor. (Under the new car warranty)
