I didn't have to do squat except reset the clock. Everything else just worked. The car threw some error codes all related to the battery being disconnected, but it didn't affect the running of the car.
A couple days later I had one issue with the DISA valve that was making a bit of noise and threw a code, but the noise went away after a couple of blocks. I ran it by the dealer to make sure it was ok and they also found a code for a bad coolant temp sensor, so they replaced that. I had them change the oil while it was there. But those issues (DISA and temp sensor) were one-offs with my car. You shouldn't have any such issues.
