Anyone had this happen? Mine is stuck and when I hit the button i hear a click coming from my glove box area but no movement or motor sound for the shade to go down.

Could be a shorted motor for the rear blind, when you activate the switch the module will detect this and switch the circuit off.

Another option could be a bad relay or module that controls the blind.

Its part of the sun shade. Its located at the bottom of it, you'll have to remove the rear shelf I would imagine.

I can say with near certainty that there is nothing wrong electrically. It's probably stuck. Common issue that I've dealt with.

To get it down, have someone press the button while you apply some pressure to it. It may take 1-2 tries.

For a long term solution, I've read about a tension screw/nut that can be slightly loosened, which should help. I don't remember the details but the info is out there.

Try putting your battery on a trickle charger or put jumper cables on it and hook it to a car with a good battery. This used to happen to me when my battery was dying and I haven’t drove the car for a few days.

My 550i has the sticking window shade problem, and I do the two person method to get it down. I investigated at one point but it seemed like replacement was the only fix and the part is very very expensive so I admit I just don't use the shade on that car anymore.
