Blown Rear Speaker From Factory
Just picked her up Wednesday night, it was immediately noticeable that the rear (HK) passenger speaker is completely shot.
Anyone else experience this? Not concerned, as if course it's covered, just odd and an inconvenience. Before you ask, no it was not at high/max volume. Literally and 25% volume it does nothing but vibrate and annoy the hell out of you. |

Mine is blown, well the rear drivers side tweeter. Waiting for the part to come in. Dealership damaged my door panel in the process of removing. They say they can fix but if not requesting a new panel.
Might look into replacing all the speakers. |

My July build showed up with rear passenger midrange blown/heavy distortion. I really was apprehensive about my panels getting pulled to replace, so I opted for bavsound. If they have to pull panels anyway then might as well upgrade. I thought the rest of the speakers were crap anyway. Listening to talk radio made every speaker in the car breakup. I was shocked at how bad these stock hk speakers were. Surprising that quality conttol didn't catch this. I've read a lot of posts about bad speakers on these cars. . Thank goodness for bavsound...

I have a child latch cover on the rear deck that vibrates like crazy and sounds like a blown speaker. Double check to make sure yours isn't vibrating too.

Haha. Took me forever to locate that rattly vibration. I put a few sticky felt pads on those covers and that fixed it right up. The sound always seemed to come from rear deck speakers, that's why it was hard to locate. Thought I was only one with that specific vibration.

One of the my passenger side door speakers distorts in the upper mid-range, audible at average listening volume and above. Been like that since day one and it's just not worth the trouble which can come with having a kid take apart the door.

My rear passenger tweeter appears to vibrate at certain frequencies. Most of the vibration has gone away due to my pressing on the speaker and surrounding area. Thanks |
