Extended Shadowline Trim
I know that Extended shadowline blacks out the grille, but what else if anything does it also black out? That is, besides what the regular shadowline trim that comes with the M Sport package already blacks out.
BMW site isn't clear, and a search on these forums had quite a few mentions but didn't yield the answer.

Kidney Grills, air intakes on the lower front bumper, side skirt hockey sticks and tail pipes are all blacked out. At least that's what the difference was for my m50 when I added the extended shadowline. I think the regular m-sport removes the chrome around the windows, but all the rest is still the cerium grey color???

Check that, if you are talking about a 40i with m-sport I think everything but the grill (and possibly tail pipe housing) is already blacked out

Tail pipe housing and the rear chrome that connects the taillights (plus the grille as you mention).

Thanks, unfoundnemo. Assuming the chrome connecting the two exhausts along with the chrome exhausts themselves are both blacked out with the M Sport package, not the extended shadow line trim?

You could see this all in the configurator pretty well.

FWIW, there are a few threads from back when the extended shadow line was introduced to the G07 which helped me broaden my options because I could have gotten a 2019 without the option and done it on my own fairly inexpensively. Obviously not worth it for a new build, but I was looking for a good deal on an in-stock car.
