There is 2 sides to every coin, not everyone running up to the lane closure to merge is trying to be a dbag. I can add those drivers who feel that they always have the right of way when someone's only trying to merge be it from a ramp or a closure ahead, and intentionally speed up to prevent that from happening.

I'm talking about the people that pay zero attention to an upcoming lane that's ending or a lane closure ahead. They then come to a full stop and sit there trying to edge into traffic posing a hazard to everyone. If you want to use the full length of the merge lane and properly slip in, by all means that's what it's there for.
