As others have stated, VR is better for immersion. However, I've had friends get a bit of nausea with VR and motion. I prefer the 3-monitor setup, but only with high refresh rate and 1000r curve. A proper cockpit (to include some semblance of a headliner) will help with feeling real. Whatever you decide, you'll have to go into it understanding there is a large cost investment to get it up to par. Definitely not for the average car person due to expense and effort to setup.
