Have 06 325i; recently took it to dealership. Dealership stated that the passenger mat sensor needed replacing. I've been looking for mat sensor and write up how to do it. However, I have also found that there was a recall on the sensors for 2006 325i by the NHTSB, BMW stated that my particular VIN was not part of the recall. Does anyone have information on the recall for the mat sensor?

Also does anyone know if the mat sensor is a DIY job? Don't really want to give $1800.00 to dealership for what seems to be a pretty straight forward job.
