As a business it seems BMW would be more interested in meeting demand and making more money. I understand the 1m is supposed to be back to the roots, as an enthusiast car, but at the end of the day the bean counters have the say. If they see they can make more money I do not know why they would stop production.
This could be entirely wrong but wasn't the 135i rumored to be limited production before it was released? Again that could be entirely false.
Sounds like marketing hype to me, I'm not buying it... the hype that is... or the car for that matter until the hype dies down.
