Same. We found a place in the middle of nowhere and I put in a solid offer on Monday of last week and it was sold for about 4% over asking on Friday.
It's frustrating, but fortunately we're in no rush!
I'd say wait until things cool down a little if you guys can wait. Everyone is trying to get situated before kids start school.
