I'd said stay with your halogen, unless you do the full OEM retrofit
yoru halogen lamp base is NOT designed to house a HID, the light will be too dispersed if you simply just plug it in there, thus give off a blinding light to oncoming traffic
so, yeah, either full retrofit or none at all
