I've had both. And they're comparable. Detailers are dropping opticoat because of their weird sales. The price just keeps increasing while their warranty keeps decreasing while the ad material still says "permanent". And when I say comparable, they both give excellent results. Just make sure the paint correction is up to your standards cause future buffing will take the opticoat/cquartz off
