If you have the self parking feature the key is not so stupid. I thought it was all gimmickery until I had to get my car out of a narrow garage opening. The display key as the controller was easy to use and I was surprised at how close the car can come to a door column on either side. I carry the display key when I think I might need the parking feature. Otherwise the regular keys are easier.
