No, I just use the jack directly on the jackpad.

We warned, you probably won't have the travel to jack the car all the way up to get it on 4 jack stands, it doesn't have enough travel in my experiences.

Its long enough to reach the front jack pad no problem.... The cheaper ones are shorter and you'll need your front on ramps or 2x4s for clearance.
