Regarding resale value. Sunroofs have been standard on the US-market Porsche 911 for a couple decades now and the rare sunroof delete cars (no price break on purchase) are now worth more money in the used market due to the desire of those who track the cars or need the headroom.
BTW, they stopped offering sunroof-delete for the first time in 2005 for Porsches. Many folks are buying the more expensive GT3 RS version simply to lose the stupid sunroof which is now mandatory on the US-market GT3.
