All you can do with your dealer is ensure that your car is set to Priority One. Other than that there is no way to move your car along faster.

VIN # is assigned rather early in the process.

You may track online via owners circle (delayed by around 3 days). However the best way to track vehicle status is by phone.

After your vehicle production is complete there are some unknown time frames which are:
1. Vehicle in line waiting for carrier/train for transport to the port.
2. Vehicle will be at the port awaiting a boat. This can take up to two weeks in some cases.
Normally it will get onto a boat in about one week.

Your dealer can tell you what boat it is on once the status changes to en route. You can then lookup the boats schedule and track it across the ocean using iPhone apps..

West coast port destinations have a much longer travel time in the water to having to go through the Panama canal.

Go to the thread in tracking section of this forum it has all this info even more detailed.
