Only shift light is in the M DCT clusters - and yes, you can retrofit/code an M DCT cluster for any 3 series car, but you still can't get the shift lights to work as they are commanded to work by the tranny, & the normal AT does not afford that signal.

Personally, I use the P3Cars Vent Gage - you can set the RPM you want the shift light to come ON - it flashes the display rapidly/brightly at shift point chosen. You can't miss it (even out of the corner of your eye) while driving.

In the end, the AT will not allow you to hold the tranny in gear past it's programmed max RPM for every gear anyway. The 'tranny nanny' will automatically 'Down' or 'Up' shift the car regardless of whether you have it in 'Sport' mode or not at it's preprogrammed max shift RPM.
