But it goes on to say "Other German manufacturers like Mercedes-Benz and Audi used silver paint when they returned to international racing in the 1990s."
The whole point was to demonstrate silver as a traditional color for high performance German race cars, both old and modern. Not to claim that silver was the exclusive color.
