No one knows when a blow out will happen but it's unlikely it would happen with the available data to the team on Max's l/rear with the wear not being a concern.
There was NO reason for him to slow more as the car got lighter with less fuel load.
Backing into Sergio was not an option and it's clearly a Pirelli issue as some tyres won't be as good as others coming out of the injection mould.
