I am in Berkeley and spent Sunday hitting the back roads of West Marin, this car is a blast!!!!....I am getting ready to pull the trigger on Ohlins Road and Track. After doing my homework (reading threads on Bimmerpost M2, M3 and M4 forums), talking with Harold at HP, emailing Ohlins and hearing from Jake there, and talking with a couple of folks who install and personally use Ohlins I am ordering them with approx 15% softer spring rates; plan is to run 80N/mm front and 160 N/mm (standard from Ohlins is 90 N/mm front and 190N/mm rear). I think this will take the edge off, making it a little more supple than stock (I hope). I figure I will start with 18 clicks for street/ back road use and 6 clicks for my 1-2 track days per year.
