If my dealer told me I can't have postcode entry in my car, then I'd ask him if he meant with that particular disk or with any disc.
330m's post about the dealer's comment doesn't make that very clear.
Did the dealer mean
that particular disc or the
navigation system?
Future discs will allow postcode entry, as previous discs have allowed.
If the dealer had mentioned all of the above, then I wouldn't have hesitated in thanking him.
However, based on what 330m has said, I think he deserves the kick.
He should have told 330m that future discs are expected to allow postcode entry again & the 2006-2 disc has an error which is a known fault of Navteq.
From what 330m has said, I'm assuming he was 'p*ssed' because his dealer told him the
satnav system couldn't handle postcodes, not the
disc.
In my book, not giving accurate, appropriate & relevant info is as poor as not giving any info at all, so that is why I think the dealer deserves a kick, Floyd!
