Picked up my m235i today and android auto is installed. I'm not great with technology so please bare with me.
The car seems to play music on my Spotify without the use of my phone (I knocked it off and continued to play all songs) however, when I want to connect to android auto, my phone insists I connect to the cars WiFi. When I do this, although I seem to be able to get maps up, Spotify will only play offline songs. My phone says there is no Internet despite being connected to the cars WiFi and it also means it stops receiving WhatsApps or any Internet notifications.
Any ideas how I connect to android auto using my mobile Internet connection? Or how I get the cars WiFi to work like it seems to with the built in Spotify app.
