If you have only the base stereo, then I believe your setup is similar to my 2021 F40. The ASD is part of the RAM (Receiver Audio Module), located behind the LHS panel in the boot. If you want to turn off the fake engine sound the easiest way is coding with BimmerCode or (less easy) with E-Sys. BC doesn't even need Expert mode. Messing with the RAM's wiring won't help.
