Mine is ceramic, but you would think bmw would plan on the whole tint thing, as 80 percent of the owners would be getting their windows tinted, but I'm glad I brought this up. I did not notice my CA start fumbling up until after I got my windows tinted. I think we may be on to something. Because, If the key is in plain site ie. not in any pocket and in hand, the CA works about 95% of the time, however the trunk still has a 5% chance of working. Although, this would explain why the key has a 100% ratio of letting the keyless start work :/ I am taking mine in on thursday, I am hoping there may be an antenna booster or something of the sort if the tinting is in fact the problem.
