here in texas, they will find out of state tickets. we run on a point system like most of the rest of the states. one ticket, no big deal, but if you have more than 2, you'll pay what's called a driver's responsibility surcharge (3 years at $105...bastards!) i don't know how NY law works, but try to get deferred adjudication on the speeding ticket. after 3 months, it falls off record and should be done with, having no effect on your driver record. even if you were to get pulled over again, just delay the court date on the new ticket until the old ticket's probationary period is over and do the same thing (deferred) with the new ticket. i've had quite a few tickets over the years but still manage to have a clean insurance driving record, and that's how i've done it!
