Last Friday, I noticed a smell of gas near driver side of my car. My car was parked on a ramp and it had a small puddle of gas underneath my car. I immediately went to the BMW shop in my town. They inspected right away and gave me a quote to replace the tank because the tank was leaking at the top. $2000. No option to seal it or anything. Attached is the photo of the tank. Is there any way to complain about this to BMW? my warranty has ran out.
Or is this just a life of having a bimmer?

Has anyone had a similar experience?
