Spoke to Birds auto the other day. They can replace the 135i's final drive with the Quaife, costs below.


"Yes, we have a conversion for that car, but all the manual cars have a welded crownwheel.
The conversion costs £1722.81+ vat installed. We can either work on your final drive, in which case it takes 5 days.
Alternatively we can offer a complete unit in exchange, subject to stock availability. This swap can be carried out inside 1 day.
To quote, I need your VIN number, as there are two versions for this car."


This looks a cheaper solution compared to the AC S version which is probably a rebadged Quaife, also has a lifetime warranty.
