I'm definetly not going the BMW intake route. Unless they lower their prices I'm not even considering it. 800$ for an intake that only adds around 6 HP and makes the engine a little louder is not a great deal. The only positive thing about this is that it does not avoid the warrenty as you have previously mentioned. I am shopping around for something a bit cheaper. So far nothing great and new has come up yet for the 128i sadley
but i've found around 3 different air intakes for the 135! that were not BMW intakes.
