My other passion is fast bikes - so trust me, illegal exhausts is really not an issue for me!!!
I think as long as you exercise a little common sense and caution when you drive in certain places you can normally avoid any issues. Ive been riding very fast and even louder bikes for almost 20 years and ive never been stopped by the pigs for my race exhausts - personally i firmly believe my race exhausts on my bikes have saved my life on numerous occasions, especially when filtering - none of this relates to cars i appreciate, but i just love the sound of a loud'ish exhaust on a car and when i heard the Eisey on an E92 M3 i knew i HAD to have it on mine - simples!!!
