It's tough to brick a module using only NCS. The cool thing about NCS if you try to code non-standard values or wrong values when manipulating the PSW_FSW it will reject it and won't allow coding, although it is posible to mess up operation of the car by coding something incorrectly, say for instance the airbag (ABG) module. There is a updated list via google docs of tested/working items to code.
