Wifey and I were talking about this during our evening stroll. I think whether you hate permanent DST or love it often (but not always) depends on where in a time zone you live. We live very close to the eastern border of the Central time zone. Even with DST now, it's light by 6:30AM. And even in June, it's dark by 8:30PM (more or less). But for folks on the far west side of the Central time zone, it may not be getting light these days until 7:30AM, which is tough for folks who need to be out and about at that time. And they may have daylight until almost 10PM, which can also be a hassle.

But during standard time here in the winter, it's dark at 4:30PM, and that sucks. The light in the early morning during the winter is something I can do without. I'd rather have more daylight in the evening.
