It's 4/32, or 1/8" for the wear limit. I'm monitoring my wear carefully. Just rotated back to fronts at 12K miles as the rears had 2mm greater wear. If it looks like I'm going to hit the wear limit for turn in, I'm going to purchase a set of non run flats, change the tires and save the originals that still have enough tread to pass inspection. I'll change them back just before turn in, and i'll have a good set of non run flats to put on the next car. I did this with my 528 and it worked out well. I'm NOT going to buy a new set of tires for BMW to make up for the inferior wear run flats they provide as OEM.
