They pop out, it's easy. Just adjust the mirror aiming all the way up then lightly pull out from the bottom. You'll see it's so easy, in fact I'm surprised they aren't stolen more often (knocking on wood...)

Really just pop it out? Is there also a plug and play wires for heated mirror?
