What I guess I want, basically, is a stipped down sport coupe or hatch, even a Z4 coupe, but without the luxury components. I want a more visceral car, like the '78 308gt4 Ferrari I had for 4 years, but reliable, cheaper to maintain, and a
slightly more comfortable ride. That's all. If BMW makes such a car, I'll buy it. If someone else does, I'll buy it from them. But I think BMW could (and has) done it. And, if they offer those things in the ROW market, then I don't see why I shouldn't be able to order it.
