One other quick comment - not sure if you have a place to stay in Santa Fe yet, but if you are still looking for somewhere, we've stayed at the Casa de la Cuma before (
http://www.casacuma.com/). It is a small bed and breakfast within walking distance of downtown.
Fantastic breakfasts, nice rooms, small and cozy. We will likely be staying there if they have openings when we head down.
