The open source discussions have been deleted not to protect sponsors or vendors, but because the whole project is being used by banned members and sites to promote themselves.
I'd love to see discussions about open source projects that's not being used to promote any particular interest or site. That kind of product and discussion would not only be allowed but encouraged and promoted here.
