Vibrations with the F14s.......

Some of you may remember that I complained about vibrations at speeds >100km/h after I fitted the F14s, and no amount of balancing and pressue adjustments can get rid of the vibration. I am happy to say it is now fixed!

This is all due to the stupid tyre shop that sold me the wheels. The Forgestar requires a hub ring to be fitted, otherwise the bolts end up taking up the weight of the car. Since the bolts are not designed to take vertical vehicle weight, this will cause vibrations.

The idiots fitted hub rings today for me on the car and I took a drive to the airport. No vibration whatsoever. I tested briefly at speeds up to 150km/h and steady as a rock.

My expense is that I may have gotten a ticket

So for all of us with aftermarket wheels, especially ones that are made to fit multiple different brand of cars, check if they fitted a hub ring when the shop mount your wheels!

The funniest thing is that even Forgestar sell hub rings for their F14s on the website. The A shop should have known.........
