These tips, I think, are about film edges. I had a few spots on my previous car and if you get wax on the edges of the film you'll never get it off. I tried a soft bristle toothbrush and any number of other things.
Unless you have a full wrap, when you wax just go for the surfaces of the film and avoid smearing over the edges.
