Which means the chances of it happening at all are essentially zero. With the G20 having arrived in late 2018, we are already over a year and half in. Fast forward three more years, and there's simply no reasonable hope BMW would be planning any sort of M wagon and deliberately giving what would already be a low volume product a short <3yr life span.
Every generation we get rumors of an M3 touring, often from sources that claim to be highly reliable. But it has never happened before, and there's nothing compelling that should have us think any different this time. Unfortunate, sure, but that's the reality of the situation.
