The 4 series is discongruent and piecemeal. It makes no sense from a design language standpoint. It's all over the place in terms of themes. Nothing matches. It's like they had a different designer for the grill, the front, the sides, and the back.
The iX looks like a beaver is having an orgasm. But at least it looks like something and makes a little sense.

Even funnier is it looks like this was the inspiration for the 4er's lower bumper (on m-sport models). They both overlap the bottom portion of the main grill and curve up the sides.
