The other tunes mentioned in your post are when certain parameters are modified on your ECU to generate more power.

I would do a search on the F10 M5 forum regarding the pros / cons of each particular route as well impact on warranty etc.

You may be thinking of simple stage1 tunes.. The JB4 really has no rivals in this market. The electronic wastegate control and CANbus, coupled with a robust phone app, boost by gear logic, and much more, allow it to deliver performance on par with custom flash maps, only in a format you can easily install and remove at home. It makes all the other tuning options, including the BMS Stage1, look like toys.
