Not necessarily the case, My trunk has clearcoat damage from the original spoiler adhesive and is visible from certain angles and lighting conditions. I live with it because The overall look of the Pro spoiler outweighs the visible deformed clearcoat. My case is unusual and pisses me off. I bet the dealer had some or heard of similar experiences to mine.
