In the wet it would whel spin all the way from 80-100. Traction control was never fully off, which was a bit of a pain, but in the wet it HAD to be on all the time. 135i is better at handling, but the SRT-6 was deffinately more fun when you got used to getting the best from the 5 speed Auto box. For example, if you floored it at a steady 40 it would drop to 2nd and rip your kneck of upto silly speeds without slowing. I timed 0-60 in 4.8 and 0-100 in 11....80-100 was 3.2 secs.

On the track the 135 will have it.

in the dry and in a straight line from 40 and floor it the SRT-6 will have it....you really need to feel that to believe it.
0-60 in the dry I recon would be very difficult to separate them.

I miss the raw danger element of the crossfire, but for a compromise on speed and comfort the 135 is a winner.

Without the intake and sprint booster I recon the 135 will be slightly quicker to 60 and about the same with rolling starts.
Yup. Great comparison. I just traded in my SRT-6 (plus my SRT-8) for the 135i. Straight line performance is insane. An aftermarket intake, new pulley, and tune and your close to 400rwhp. It handles very well in the twisties, but the 135i is more refined both inside and out. I had the car for a year and I enjoyed the hell out of it. Great history, too, about that car in that they only produced 3000 models in '05. Those AMG engines are all hand built and are bulletproof. Extreme stiff suspension and not real comfortable on long rides. I do miss it, but the 135i satisfies my cravings for speed plus giving me more comfort.
