You have to be open.

So any contact with any insurance company needs to be declared.

You have to be careful, as not declaring things can mean that company refusing to insure you.

That would then be another question on the next form - Have you ever been refused insurance'

When I lived in North Yorkshire one of my neighbours failed to inform his insurance of an accident, he was then refused insurance by them, this made him a bit of a hot potato.

If staying with a company, at renewal time it's worth having your file checked, I had an accident logged against mine by 'accident' by the company, was a different car, different part of country.
