Dealer insists the paint's
finish is matte, but the paint itself is as non-porous as the gloss coat used everywhere else.
I was just afraid a wax or Zaino would leave the matte paint looking - for lack of a better term -
waxy.
Somebody else actually got back to me with a practical solution:
Test wax on a small portion of the car's matte black center stripe (far from the great big hood), where it can quickly and easily be stripped and re-washed if needed. Doh! Wish I'd thought of that earlier.
