They'll fit, probably. But this is NOT a valid -1 sizing. In fact, your speedometer will read 4% slow. The standing height of the F30's standard 225/45R18 size is 25.972441".

The standing height of a 225/45R17 size is 24.972441", or 4.4% less.

The standing height of a 225/50R17 size (the correct -1 package for an F30 with standard 225/45R18 tires) is 25.858268" or a very small difference of .44% less.

The formula, BTW, to calculate the correct standing height is:

Standing height = ( ( (width x decimal aspect ratio) / 25.4) * 2 ) + inside diameter of tire
