The dealer can reflash your car for Xenons, should you opt for the OE Parts. It may take a few hours labor, but it can be done with more than likely no electrical problems.
Back in 2005, I bought a set of Bi-Xenon headlamps for my E46 (my car came with halogen) for about $500. I spent another $450 on reflash. So instead of just getting the option for $750, I spent $950.
Since your car is a lot newer, your headlights are more expensive. This is not like doing this to a 2005 vehicle.

Even for my 2003 Z4, replacing a damaged OEM xenon involved $800 for the unit + $200 for the bulb + labor - and that was just one side.
