No I don't but BMW does. The Mxxx models are requested by BMW to have a certain set of drive characteristics and then M GmbH designs them as requested.

You do know that a regular 330i can be equipped with all of the same equipment as an M340i (except for tire and cooling package) and pretty much have the same handling but with less power.
The M340i is essentially a 340i with the M-Sport pack.
Same thing with the M550i. And if they are requested to certain driving characteristics by M GmbH, then the M550i is a fail of an M car.
