Acquisition costs aside, getting insurance on a 'twin turbo' (yes, i know its technically parallel bi-turbo, but insurance companies don't differentiate, trust me) car if you are under 25 is just too hard, and even if you can wrangle it (as im sure i could have) it would costs a bomb! Especially these days, as recently i've heard of Maserati etc having no under 30 driver requirements on their policies.
Also, has anyone else noticed the following:
the 130i and the 125i have identical N52B30 engines with the same capacity (2996), same stroke/bore (88/85; undersquare) and same compression ratio (10.7). However, the 130i is rated at 195Kw and 350nm whereas the 125i is rated at 160Kw and 270nm. This represents a significant difference between the two vehicles.
Anyone know why this is? I'll probably post this as a separate topic anyways, but i thought i'd ask!
Cheers folks!
